About Quote Wordle
Quote Wordle is our take on the daily word puzzle — but built on real quotations. Each round shows you a famous line with one key word blanked out. You have six guesses to crack it, with classic green / yellow / grey letter feedback on every attempt.
What makes it different: every wrong guess unlocks a new context hint. After your first miss, the quote's theme appears. After the second, the era. After the third, the author. After the fourth, the first letter of the word lights up. So the puzzle is never unfair — it's a slow reveal that builds toward an aha moment as the famous line comes into focus.

How is this different from regular Wordle?+
Two things: every puzzle is a real famous quote with one word missing, and every wrong guess unlocks a new context hint (theme, era, author, then first letter). It's a quote-recognition game wrapped in the Wordle mechanic.
Does the missing word have to be five letters?+
No — word length varies per puzzle (typically 2–10 letters). Each row shows you exactly how many letters you need.
Do my guesses have to be real English words?+
No. We don't enforce a dictionary, so you can probe letter positions freely. The challenge is the quote, not vocabulary.
Is there a daily mode?+
Yes. The Daily Quote is the same worldwide and resets at midnight UTC. Your result is shareable with the emoji grid — your friends see your guesses, not the answer.
How is it scored?+
Fewer guesses = more points (6 → 1, 1 → 6). Daily mode tracks a separate best. Endless mode runs five puzzles and totals your score.
